BRAINSPOTTING WITH ADOPTIONS and Constellation configurations for Brainspotting

REQUIREMENT:
This Brainspotting Specialty Training is for Brainspotting therapists who have completed Phase 1.

DESCRIPTION:
We will address how people affected by adoption, whether children or adults, parents or adoptees face issues and variables uncommon in the general population and yet, while adoption is a special factor to consider, it is not the only factor. Treatment professionals may unintentionally increase the intensity of the situation if they are unfamiliar with the factors inherent in adoption.
Brainspotting provides a beneficial framework for working with the adoption constellation.
This training will include:
– Information on adoption competency and how to work with all members of the adoption constellation and those affected by fostering.

– Working with children, adults and families, special populations within the adoptive population, racism in adoption and foster care.

– Multidimensional framing for Brainspotting with adoption, and new Constellation configurations for using Brainspotting with adoption.
